Cheerleaders & Tumblers End Season

Cheerleaders and Tumblers at Transform Academy have wrapped up their 2012-2103 season. On June 2nd all recreational and competitive students participated in their year end fun meet at the Albia High School showcasing skills and routines they have been working on through out the year.
Transform Academy’s cheer program concluded it’s competitive season in February with both squads achieving their highest scores of the year. TA had 24 members competing in the level 1 youth and level 2 senior divisions. The squads competed in competitions December through February bringing home (2) 3rd Place, (1) 4th Place, (1) 5th Place, & (1) 6th place finish. “This years squads were small compared to the squads they competed against, however, they did well progressing all year beating squads they had lost to earlier in the season.” Coach Treana Drost Members of the squad include: Andie Hafner, Sydney, Jansen, Kate Miller, Jessica Cunningham, Macie Krier, Abbey Griffin, Jaicee Bettis, Taylee Wolfer, Tayla Davis, Danica Workman, Emma Wenger, Allison Casteel, Bella Wilson, Peyton Popson, Ellie Cloyed, Sydney Spry, Mary Yarkosky, Aishya Seeman, Karson Swim, Heather McGill, Hayley Bassett, Tori Kent, Maddalyn Persons, Taylor Gillaspie
Members of the Transform Academy competition tumbling team competed from December through April in USTA & AAU sanctioned meets across the state of Iowa. In February the team hosted their first home meet in Albia. There were just over 100 competitors from teams in Chariton, Marshalltown, Indianola, Melcher, & Knoxville attending. On Sunday April 21st the team completed there normal season with the USTA State Tumbling meet in Pella. The team had 28 of their 31 competitors partake in the meet bringing home 2 state champions and 12 national qualifiers. TA had 2 of their 12 qualifiers compete at Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale, FL June 17-21st.
