PELLA — Central College’s Taylor Hill (Treynor) was named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars Team.

To be eligible for selection, a player must be a top varsity performer and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.50. Hill, who will be a junior this fall, has a 3.87 GPA with an elementary education major. She led the Dutch with an 80.6 competitive stroke average in 12 varsity rounds during the fall and spring seasons.

It’s the 46th time that a Central men’s or women’s golfer has received the honor. Hill is the sixth Dutch female cited. Central has had at least one player recognized seven consecutive years. Sarah Paulson, Brent Goodenow and Matt Vegter were honored last year.
