Another Laurel for Lange

Oskaloosa–Olivia Lange (Sr., Buckeburg, Germany, Business Management) opened her spring campaign in the same manner as she closed the fall by winning the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honor Monday, presented by Mammoth.

The senior, who is now an eight-time weekly recipient (four this year), guided William Penn to its third tournament crown of the season last week.

Lange carded a 76 last Thursday and followed it up with a 75 in her second round for a final tally of 151. She won the individual medalist award by 11 strokes.

Lange’s tournament win consisted of 22 pars and four birdies.

For the season, Lange is averaging 76.8 strokes over the span of 13 rounds. She has won four crowns, while also finishing second and eighth in the other two tourneys. Ten of her rounds have been under 80 with a low score of 69.

The award is the fourth of the year for WPU.
