Adams in Top 25 at Last Regular Season Event
Indianapolis, Ind.–The Statesmen women’s bowling team wrapped up its regular season with a solid showing at the Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic Saturday and Sunday.
The Statesmen placed 28th out of 67 teams with 7,851 pins in nine regular games. Wichita State (Kan.) qualified first with 8,837 pins and held its seed for the bracket title.
Sydney Brummett of Wichita State was the top individual with a 217.3 average (1,956 pins), while Stephanie Adams (So., Souris, Manitoba, Business Management) collected a top-25 finish (23rd) at 193.0 (1,737 pins).
Montana Pence (So., Stronghurst, Ill., Elementary Education), at 177.4, and Kelsey Johnson (Sr., Montgomery, Ill., Elementary Education), at 175.1, also started all nine games.
The duo of Cybil Lennie (Fr., Ottumwa, Iowa, Undecided) (181.2) and MacKenzie Boyd (So., Knoxville, Iowa, Biology) (151.2) both competed in six games, while Emily Braga (Jr., Newton, Iowa, Communications) (165.0, four games) and Audra Farley (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Education) (143.5, two games) competed as well.
Next Up: William Penn travels to Davenport to compete for league hardware at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championships on February 28-March 1.
