AAUW Book Sale Set For October 4-6
The Annual AAUW Book sale is returning to Penn Central Mall.
It’s that time—time for the 53rd annual used book sale in Oskaloosa. This year’s sale will be October 4—6 in Center Court of Penn Central Mall. There is a new start time of 10 a.m. on Thursday this year, and the sale will proceed during open mall hours through 4 p.m. on Saturday. There will be no free books on Saturday this year, but Sunday will be a free day until 3 p.m. Saturday’s sale is a $5 bag sale.
All kinds of books, magazines, games, CDs, DVDs and tapes will be for sale, all donated by area residents and stored in space donated by SHARE Iowa. Oskaloosa AAUW (American Association of University Women) and Friends of the Oskaloosa Public Library sponsor the sale. Proceeds are used for scholarships for women at William Penn and through the national AAUW organization, and for items and programs not included in the public library budget.
