Campbell Honored Again

Oskaloosa–Cameryn Campbell (Jr., Jefferson City, Mo., Education) was rewarded for putting up massive numbers by being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week Monday.

Campbell claimed her second laurel by helping William Penn (11-17, 6-9 Heart) to a 1-1 week.

The junior opened her week with 25 digs in a four-set win over Graceland. In the victory, she also tallied one ace and did not commit a service reception error in 13 attempts.

In a four-set loss to MidAmerica Nazarene, Campbell’s star again shone bright with 36 digs. She recorded one ace and did not allow an opposing ace in 21 tries. For the week, the junior averaged 7.63 digs per set.

Campbell now has 516 digs (5.01 per set) this fall. She has nine matches with at least 20 digs (high of 38). The junior ranks second in the Heart in both total digs and dig average, while being 14th in the NAIA in total digs.

The award is the second for WPU this year.
