WPU Moves Up After Bye Week
Oskaloosa–Idle William Penn took advantage of losses by two high-ranked programs to move up yet again as the NAIA’s fifth top-25 poll was released Monday.
The Statesmen (5-1, 1-0 MWL), who did not play last week, improved two positions to #6 with 271 points. It is the highest ranking for the program since being fifth on October 15, 2012.
Morningside remains #1 with 340 points and 14 first-place votes, while Baker (Kan.) is still second with the final first-place vote. Carroll (Mont.), Southern Oregon, and Grand View all moved up one rung to round out the top five.
The Midwest League is also represented by #13 Saint Xavier (Ill.).
WPU travels to Indianapolis, Ind. Saturday to face #21 Marian in an MSFA crossover game. Kickoff is set for noon (Central).
