WARRIORS RANKED NO. 9 IN LATEST NJCAA POLL

NJCAA DI MEN’S BASKETBALL POLL – WEEK 6

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men’s Basketball team checked in at No. 9 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men’s Basketball poll, announced Monday afternoon. The Warriors closed out the first half of the year with a 13-4 overall record.

The Warriors picked up a pair of wins over the weekend at the Financial Partners Classic in Ottumwa. Along with the two wins, the Warriors battled with Snow College (UT) in a narrow 93-88 loss at the Hellyer Center. With the win, the Badgers climbed to No. 1 in this week’s national poll.

The Warriors are ranked No. 8 in the latest JUCOAdvocate Media Poll.

Indian Hills defeated Kankakee Community College (IL) and Lake Region State College (ND) by double-digits to cap a strong first half of the season under first-year head coach Cole Dewey.

The Warriors earned 249 points from the voting committee this week, dropping four spots from last week’s spot at No. 5. Indian Hills has squared off against three teams in this week’s top-15 so far this year with No. 1 Snow, No. 5 Butler Community College (KS), and No. 15 College of Southern Idaho.

Fellow Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) foe Southeastern Community College dropped to No. 20 in this week’s poll. The Blackhawks are currently 14-1 on the year.

The Warriors will welcome a 20-day layoff for the holiday break before returning to the Hellyer Center to take on Wabash Valley Community College (IL) at 7:00 PM on January 4. The Warriors previous defeated Wabash Valley this year 93-60 in Mount Carmel, IL.
