Update from Lacey: Local Christian Schools Team Up for Soccer Season

Christian School Soccer (submitted)

During the month of October Lacey Recreation Complex has been exploding with activities. William Penn University, Oskaloosa High School, Mahaska County YMCA, and Mahaska County Soccer Club has been hard at work practicing football and soccer skills as well as bringing competitive attitudes to the field on game days, but they aren’t the only ones enjoying the complex. Oskaloosa, Pella, Sully and Peoria Christian Schools are in their 3rd year of a combined soccer program for the 6th-8th grade students. This year a total of 47 students are participating. Practice location alternates between Pella Soccer Complex and Lacey with all games being played at Lacey. The end of the season is approaching quickly for all fall sports, but it won’t be long before registration starts for spring sports.
