Statesmen Squads Ranked in NAIA’s Top 10

Oskaloosa–The William Penn bowling teams continue to be considered among the best programs in the nation as the NAIA released its first top-10 rating Thursday.

The Statesmen men are fourth with 36 points, while SCAD Savannah (Ga.) is first with 50 points and all five first-place votes. Lawrence Tech (Mich.) and Grand View are tied for second, while St. Francis (Ill.) and Hastings (Neb.) are tied for fifth.

The Statesmen women sit in a tie for eighth place with 37 points. Pikeville (Ky.) heads the poll with 66 points and five first-place nods, while St. Francis is second with the last first-place tally. Indiana Tech, SCAD Savannah, and Midland (Neb.) complete the top five.

WPU returns to action next Saturday and Sunday, traveling to Indianapolis, Ind. to compete in the Columbia 300 Western Shootout.
