St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ 2010 Holiday Bazaar
St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ 2010 Holiday Bazaar looks to have been a good time for those who attended. They had craft items, treasurers of yesteryear, pecans, assorted specialty nut items, a country store and tons of wonderful looking homemade baked goods.
The day started with coffee time with varieties of pastries from 9:00 to 10:30 for a free-will donation.
Starting at 11:00 am, they served a lunch of sloppy joe sandwich, potato soup, vegetable beef soup, relish tray, pie or cake for dessert and a beverage.
Womens Association of St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ had one of it’s bazaar organizers speak to us about the gathering today. “Wonderful community event and it’s always good to see lots of familiar faces” was some thoughts from Marti Gillespie. (It) brings our church together, work together and we’re having a good time selling lots of goodies.
There was a raffle for a quilt. $1.00 bought you a chance to win a full/queen size quilt that is green on creme. It came with two matching pillow shams.
The drawing for that was held at 1:00 pm. Winner did not need be present to win.
The proceeds are channeled to the church for mission projects and things that need to be done in the church itself.
St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ is located at 501 High Avenue East in Oskaloosa.
