Comments by coach Gladys Genskow “WOW what a day of volleyball. We won our pool, got to the finals and it was a great final 3rd set against Ottumwa. The match went back and forth the entire last half of the match. Exciting for both teams. We played hard and never gave up. I am so proud of the heart we played with throughout the day. Played with adversity throughout the day mentally and physically, but that didn’t stop the Rockets from giving it all they had to take 2nd place at the tournament. We are still learning and getting better in some aspects. We will continue to work on all aspects of our game. The girls will be taking a few days off this week due to homecoming events. We have a bye this week in our conference and works well with homecoming. It allows the players to shift their focus to other things this week allowing them to be rejuvenated to tackle a tough last half of the season. We play next at home against Twin Cedars for Senior Night on Sept. 25.”
