Quintet Garner NCBCA Scholar-Athlete Recognition

Oskaloosa–Five members of the William Penn bowling teams were honored for excellence in the classroom as they were collected Scholar-Athlete laurels from the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association recently.

The group includes Casey Brandau (Jr., Mason City, Iowa, Psychology), Nicole Craft (Sr., Wakefield, Neb., Sports Management), Aleksander Kostric (Jr., Koper, Slovenia, Sports Management), Rok Kostric (Jr., Koper, Slovenia, Sports Management), and Bailey Palmer (Sr., Ottumwa, Iowa, Biology).

Brandau heads the crew with a 4.0 Grade Point Average entering this spring, while Craft was right behind her at 3.96. Aleksander Kostric (3.89) was next, while Palmer (3.70) and Rok Kostric (3.55) also eclipsed the standard.

To be eligible for the accolade, individuals must own a 3.5 Grade Point Average entering the spring semester.
