Over the past few months The Oskaloosa Police Department has seen an increase in cases involving operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of controlled substances. The Oskaloosa Police department is reminding all that operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance is handled like any other operating while intoxicated case with alcohol impairment. If there is cause to believe a motor vehicle operator is under the influence of a controlled substance the revocation periods are the same as an alcohol violation. Please help the Oskaloosa Police department in keeping our roads safe by immediately reporting any motor vehicle operator you believe to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
