Oskaloosa Varsity Girls Bowling Remains Unbeaten
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa varsity girls’ bowling team has a 9-0 record on the year, with their recent wins over Norwalk and Sigourney.
Nikki Parlet and Keirsten Gordon bowled their best games of the season, with Parlet taking high series, 339 pins, and second high game with 184.
Gordon took high game, 187 pins, and second in series of 325.
Coach Tony Witt said, “They really were a huge part of why the girls came up with the wins yesterday [Saturday]. It’s been a real plus this year that on any given day, any one of the girls is capable of bowling the high series and games for that day”.
The boys’ varsity team holds an impressive 8-1 record on the year, and Witt says the boys continue to improve in all facets of their games.
Sasha Crumes bowled his best on Saturday, taking high game, 246 pins, and high series with 439 total pins.
Colton Stout had the second high game with 241 pins, which was also his high game of the year.
Dylan VanWyk had 412 pins in total to earn him the third highest series.
