Oskaloosa Varsity Boys top Norwalk

The Indians held on to win over Norwalk 58 to 53 Friday night

Oskaloosa, Iowa – With free throw shooting down the stretch, the Indians kept their lead to pull off a 58-53 victory over Norwalk Friday night.

Nathan Veldhuizen lead the Indians with 14 points, but Austin Redlich and Tyce Sarver were close behind as they both added 12 points. Tyler Hafner scored 7 with Clay Tucker putting 5 on the board and Cody Green putting on an additional 4. Collin Green and Dillion Daniel each scored 2 for a good mix of team scoring.

Hafner was serving it up to his teammates with 5 assists, and grabbing an additional 5 steals in the process. Veldhuizen lead the board for the Indians with 8 total offense and defensive rebounds, with Tucker grabbing 5 rebounds on the evening.

Norwalk scoring was lead by Kyle Hopkins with 21 points on the evening and Nick Frasier’s 14 more in helping lead the effort for the visiting team.

The Indians will be back in action once again Tuesday evening.
