Oskaloosa, Iowa – “We’re a little different. We’re not for everyone,” says new Oskaloosa Schools Superintendent Mike Fisher. “Come check us out, and I think, more often than not, people will see our peculiar brand of school here.”

When it comes to his time in Oskaloosa, Fisher says it’s been “amazing. Incredible and smooth in so many ways.

Fisher is familiar with Oskaloosa, growing up here. “Sometimes you forget how friendly and loving people are and accepting.”

Fisher says the community has “wrapped their arms around my wife and I, and my son. So that’s been awesome coming home.”
