Oskaloosa Bowling Finishes Behind Clarke

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Indians bowling teams got their season started on the road this past week, when they took on Clarke and Lennox.

The girls finished in second place with 2120 total pins, 194 pins behind Clarke, but 344 pins ahead of third place Lennox.

Three Oskaloosa bowlers held the top five series in the matchup, but they couldn’t overcome Clarke’s Kacie Shieler who had a 426 series. Oskaloosa was lead by Andrea Mitterer with a 365 series. She was followed closely by Taylor Mathes with a 351 series.

The boys racked up 2522 pins, but ultimately fell by 86 pins to Clarke.

Brock Bucy of Clarke and Jared Smith of Oskaloosa tied for high game with 257 each. Bucy backed up his high game with a nearly equal performance of 256.

Bucy held the high series with 513 pins over the effort of Oskaloosa’s Jared Smith with a 430 series.

The teams will travel to Newton on December 2nd for a 9am matchup at Cardinal Lanes.
