The Osky girls and boys bowling teams were finally in action at their home bowling center and got the wins against Norwalk on Saturday.
The girls beat Norwalk behind some solid singles games from freshman Sidney Thompson with games of 181 and 170 to lead the team with a 352 series and her highest of the season so far. Ava Ridenour also had her high game of 180 and high series of the season with a 301 series. Abby tarr also has her high series of the season as well with a 310 series. The extra practice and all the spare work is starting to show with their scores improving.
The boys had their best team total series as well and were led by Trey VanWyk who bowled to consecutive 279 games for his new high 2 game series of 558. It was pretty impressive to see Trey finally loosen up and be locked in throwing the ball and Trey has averaged 265.75 for his last two bowling meets. “That is pretty Damn impressive.”
First year bowler Tucker DeJong continues to improve and get better with each meet bowling his new high series of the season with a 394 series and high game of 212. Both the boys and girls teams come out and do a lot of extra practicing on their own time and it’s starting to really show with the scores.
