On-Going Burglary/Theft Investigation Nets More Charges
A Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office Press Release
As part of an on-going burglary/theft investigation being conducted by the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office (see original press release dated February 3rd, 2017), criminal charges have been filed against several individuals.
38-year-old Steven Joseph Johnson of 1213 River Road, Leighton, Iowa was charged with Theft in the 1st degree, Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (3rd or subsequent offense) and On-going criminal conduct. Johnson, who is currently being held in the Mahaska County Jail on a Probation Violation charge, made his initial appearance to the above charges and remains in the Mahaska County Jail on $40,000 bond.
43-year-old Sven Eric Dahlstrom of 207 Church Street, Martinsburg, Iowa was charged with Theft in the 1st Degree, 2 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree and On-going Criminal Conduct. 34-year-old Trisha Marie Dahlstrom of 207 Church Street, Martinsburg, Iowa was charged with 2 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree and On-going Criminal Conduct. These charges were filed on February 21st, 2017 and warrants were issued for both Dahlstroms. Members of the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested both Dahlstroms at their residence later that day, pursuant to Mahaska County Arrest warrants. Sven Dahlstrom is being held in the Mahaska County Jail on $40,000 bond and Trisha Dahlstrom is being held on $30,000 bond.
A fourth individual has been charged with 2 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Dregree and On-going Criminal conduct. Arrest Warrants have been issued for this subject and Sheriff’s Deputies continue to search for this individual.
As a reminder, a criminal charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
