OMS Boys Bring Home Team Crown At Home Meet

The middle school team was back in action on Tuesday night at home running at the Oskaloosa Invitational Cross Country meet.

The boys team came out firing on all cylinders and took home the team crown beating Pella by 3 points!! Blake Frame led the way with a 4th place finish, Lane Smith finished 6th and Joel Pogany, Carter Bonnett and Micha VanEe wrapped up the top 5 finishers with a fantastic pack that placed 13th, 14th and 16th place. It was fantastic to see the boys “pack it up” and finish so strong.

Cracking the Top 10 lists for the Osky Meet were: Blake Frame (4th) Lane Smith (5th), Joel Pogany (6th), Carter Bonnett (7th), Micah VanEe (8th) and Aiden Todey (10th).
And by the 1.5 mile distance: Blake Frame (4th), Lane Smith (5th), Joel Pogany (6th), Carter Bonnett (7th) and Micah VanEe (9th).

On the girls side Ella Walter led the way with a 7th place finish. Sabrina Frost, Kam Maddy, Whitney Steinlage and Lily Jenkinson rounded out the top 5 with a fifth place team finish with 110 points.

Several girls broke into the Top 10 lists. For the Osky Invite, Ella Walter moved into second place, Sabrina Frost (4th), Kam Maddy (7th) and Whitney Steinlage (9th).
Sabrina Frost made the Top 10 list for the 1.5 mile distance sitting at 9th.

It was great to see everyone run so strong! Proud of the efforts of the entire team!!

The team will travel to Mt. Pleasant next Tuesday, September 20.
