OHS Graduation 2011
The Oskaloosa High School graduated it’s class of 2011 on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The class heard from Mr. Russell Reiter, the Superintendent of Oskaloosa Schools. Reiter spoke briefly about the capabilities of the Class of 2011 and their challenges ahead of them.
The near capacity gymnasium then heard from Lyric Morris and Natasha Gorski as they spoke to their their fellow classmates and those in attendance about their times as a class, and their road ahead.
“Time is not measured by the passing of years but by what one does, what one feels, and what one achieves.” – Jawaharlal Nehru. With that motto in mind, the 177 Seniors walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.
Congratulations once again to the graduating class from Oskaloosa High School.
I want to take a moment to recognize Charlie Comfort. Charlie has been a vital part of Osky News from the day it started. He graduated from OHS on Sunday, but I am pleased to say he will be with us in Oskaloosa at least four more years as he will now be attending William Penn University. Thank you Charlie for all your hard work and dedication you have given to Osky News, and your community.
