New Carpet Approved By Supervisors

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Mahaska County Supervisors met in regular session on Monday, January 16, 2012.
The first non-housekeeping item was the approval of replacing the carpet in the County Attorney’s Office. The bid from Mathew Carpet for $3635.00 was unanimously approved.
Mahaska County Sanitarian, Mahaska County Conservation Director all gave their monthly reports to the Supervisors.
Julie Bak presented the board a resolution about a 28E Consortium. It was an Authorization to take part in the Southeast Iowa Contracting Consortium 28E Agreement. It states that the Mahaska County Board of Supervisors desires to cooperate in way of mutual advantage to contract for services to meet Mahaska County residents’ needs in the area of mental health, mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
Mahaska County Secondary Roads Michael Rodwell presented the board a Federal Aid Agreement for a bridge replacement project on 255th Street. The Supervisors all voted aye and signed the agreement.
The Health Insurance Plan for the County was brought to the board for review by Brad Reiman. All agreed on the addendum for fiscal year 2012 on the employee health plan.
The rates for the insurance were kept the same with the unanimous vote from the board.
The 2nd quarter reports for fiscal year 2012 covering the Auditor, Recorder, Sheriff, Treasurer and Veterans Affairs Commission were all passed.
