Lazer Tag makes temporary home at Penn Central Mall
Penn Central Mall has added a new activity, and a family activity even mom’s and dad’s can enjoy.
If your wondering what laser tag is, it’s a game where individuals wear a vest or other device that contains sensors that registers “hits” from a hand held infrared “pistol”. Players score points by tagging their opponents and other sensors on the game floor.
Starting November 12th, Lazer Tag had plans to be a fixture of the mall until 1st of the year. Their hours are 4 to 8 on Fridays and then the mall hours on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. During the week, evening appointments they will be doing parties at $50.00 per hour, unlimited kids.
I wondered what was the motivation for having Lazer Tag. John replied “something for the kids, you always hear there’s nothing for kids to do, this is a start.”
I was curious if a permanent location was coming. John told me “We would love a permanent location, and we would like to expand it more, and get more activities for kids to do.”
Their game floor is 1500 square feet, with many area’s to hide, and dodge your opponent. And so far, it seems that near everyone that give’s it a chance enjoys themselves and seems to want to play more. They have 17 sensor vests that can be used all at once, but about 6 to 8 at a time is a good amount of participants for the size of the maze floor.
Cost to play is 5 minutes for $3.00, 7.5 minutes is $4.00 and 10 minutes is $5.00 and unlimited games for $20.00. Contact John Moses (641) 660-4122 for more information.
