Korbin to Follow Father’s Footsteps by Attending William Penn

Korbin Taylor has earned two all-conference awards in his prep career

Oskaloosa–William Penn University baseball coach Mike Laird has announced the signing of Korbin Taylor to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the baseball program.

Korbin, the son of Tim (1987 graduate of WPU) and Jill Taylor, is a native of Mount Pleasant and currently attends Mount Pleasant HS where he will graduate this spring.

A four-year starter (pitcher and outfielder), Taylor was a first-team all-conference player as a junior and a second-team all-conference pick as a sophomore.

Last summer, he hit .385 with one home run, three triples, and nine doubles.

“I am really looking forward to playing ball at the next level,” Taylor said.

He currently is undecided in his major.

Penn, who has won four conference titles in the last seven years, is currently 18-17 (5-12 MCC).
