Keith Osborn

Eldridge and formerly of Montezuma. Keith Osborn, 81 of Eldridge and formerly of Montezuma passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Genesis Health Care System East Campus in Davenport. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm Friday, May 20, 2011at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment will be held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Grand Haven Activities Room.

Keith Virgil Osborn, son of William and Elizabeth (McDowell) Osborn was born on November 7, 1929 in rural Grinnell, Iowa. He attend Grinnell High School. On November 10, 1950, Keith was united in marriage to Maxine Moyer in Grinnell, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born, Susan and Debra. Keith was drafted in the United States Army in October of 1951 and was honorably discharged in October of 1953. In 1956, Keith went to work for Bruin Manufacturing in Marshalltown working his way up to Foreman, retiring in 1990 after 34 loyal years of service. He enjoyed sports; especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.

His memory is honored by his daughters, Susan (Jeff) Brennan of Eldridge and Debra Morris of Story City; five grandchildren, Kelly (Chad) Stiffler, Josh (Sarah Fanth) Brennan, Katie Brennan, Lindsay (Lucas) King and Tyler (Melissa) Morris and four great grandchildren, Cael Stiffler, Jacob King, Abigail King and Mason Morris.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Osborn; his wife, Maxine “Sal” Osborn; two brothers, Robert Osborn and Wayne Osborn and three sisters, Marie Rook, Katherine Osborn and Louis Osborn.
