Indians Drop Home Opener
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The start of the 2015-2016 basketball season for the Oskaloosa varsity girls basketball team hasn’t been what was hoped for. The team is off to an 0-4 start, with the first 3 losses coming out on the road.
On Friday night, the girls varsity team took on the Pella Christian Eagles, which outscored the Indians in every period except the third.
Junior Alexis Westercamp lead the Indians in scoring with 10 points, while junior Katelyn Smith added 7 more.
Westercamp dominated the boards for the Indians, pulling down 15 total, while junior Shalandra Shilling grabbed 8 boards in the effort.
The Indians will be at home on Friday against the Grinnell Tigers, who are 4-1 on the season, with a loss to Pella their only blemish.
