Grinnell’s Abby Nielsen is MWC Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Abby Nielsen ’21 has claimed the Midwest Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week honor.
Nielsen, from Albuquerque, N.M. (Albuquerque), advanced to the round of 16 in singles play at the ITA/Oracle Midwest Regional Championships over the weekend. Nielsen defeated Natalie Favia of Carthage College 7-6, 6-2 and Devon Bourget of Luther College 6-1, 6-2 before losing 6-3, 6-1 to Grace Reiman of Bethel College. Nielsen is now 10-2 on the season.
