Gamble Picks Up Scholar-Athlete Honor
Oskaloosa–Christine Gamble (Jr., Pahrump, Nev., Pahrump Valley HS) was honored for her excellence in the classroom as she was named a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athlete.
Entering this spring, Gamble owned a 3.79 Grade Point Average in bio-chemistry.
The NAIA announced that 326 softball players were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
