Former Statesmen Star Damon Harrison Makes 53-Man Roster for NY Jets
Oskaloosa–All-American Damon Harrison defensive tackle has gone to the next level and succeeded, making the 53-man roster for the New York Jets.
Harrison, who is making $390,000 this year, survived the Jets’ initial cutdown to 53 players last Friday, then made it through Saturday, when the Jets waived three of those 53 after being awarded three new players on waiver claims. He is the only undrafted free agent rookie to make it this far with the Jets.
Harrison gives the Jets depth at nose tackle behind starter Sione Po’uha and Kenrick Ellis.
