Float building at the Lacey Recreation Complex

Oskaloosa, Iowa – It is that time of year again and Christmas is already in the air! The Lacey Recreation Complex Promotions & Fundraising Committee met and came up with a plan for the 2011 Lacey Recreation Float, as they have done for the last four year.

William Penn Girls Soccer team was called to assist in the building. Twelve girls and soccer coaches Jamie Gibbons and Vince Beseau happily came to the complex Monday night and worked from 3:30 to 6:30 painting, gluing, stapling,organizing and building a 16 foot trailer float for the upcoming lighted Christmas Parade on Dec 1st and 2nd.

The promotions committee has invited youth players from the complex to meet at the float and walk alongside fro the Lacey Recreation Complex. Mike Pose of the committee will drive the pull float for the two day parade.
