Central’s Bowser wins league tennis honor
PELLA—Central College senior Dan Bowser (Fort Dodge) has been named to the Iowa Conference men’s tennis team. He received recognition in both singles and doubles play.
Bowser competed at No. 1 singles and doubles for the Dutch this spring, compiling a 9-11 singles record and a 10-12 doubles mark with partner Seth Harris (junior, Waverly, Neb.). Bowser was tabbed the league’s tennis player of the week in March.
Bowser is on the squad for a second time. He was selected for singles in 2009.
Central finished fourth in the league’s team standings, posting a 10-14 overall record and its third top-four finish under coach Steve Tyler.
