Bondurant-Farrar Hands Indians Their First Loss

The Oskaloosa Volleyballs teams were in action last night at Bondurant-Farrar. The Freshman team started the season off with a win 25-19, 25-15. The JV team came up short 10-25, 13-25. Both teams had quality playing time against a good program and coaches saw improvement over the last 3 weeks of practice put together on the court.

The Varsity team lost a tough battle against #11 4A Bondurant-Farrar 21-25, 8-25, 17-25. We came out tough in the first set and played well, but knew we had more to execute. In the 2nd and 3rd sets, our serve-receive struggled to get an in-system pass, which made it difficult to get a side out. It was good to see the girls fighting and encouraging each other, but the execution wasn’t there. We know what we need to work on and we’ll get back at it for practice today. It was a good team and program to play because we were challenged prior to conference matches starting next week.
