Bike Decorating Contest Winner Chosen

Business in the front, Party in the back! That was the them of TD&T Financial’s bicycle decorated for RAGBRAI. The RAGBRAI hospitality committee held a bike decorating contest with 39 businesses taking bikes to decorate that will be displayed along the bike route entrance for the riders on Thursday. “I was very impressed with the creative and very decorative bikes that came in,” said Sherry Vavra committee chair. The bikes went fast and everyone put a great deal of effort into creating bikes based on their business personality and the RAGBRAI dance theme in Oskaloosa.

Members of the RAGBRAI Advisory Board and Executive committees judged the bikes Tuesday morning. “It wasn’t easy for them,” Sherry added, “They walked around for a bit before they could decide and the Christina Opportunity Center (C.O.C) was a close second to TD&T. In the end TD&T won but everyone did a fantastic job!” she added. Along with business entry’s Deb and Dee’s Disco won for individual entry category. Both will receive $50 in Osky dollars and have the bikes displayed. TD&T bike will be displayed downtown during the RAGBRAI event.
