WPU Ranked in Top 10 Regionally
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s track and field team has a plethora of individuals in the hunt for national glory as the USTFCCCA released its first rating index of the indoor season.
William Penn is 10th in the Midwest Region with 119.34 points and 46th in the NAIA with 29.97 points. Grand View leads the region (395.41), while Indiana Tech is first nationally (250.47).
Leading the way for the navy and gold is Loubert Dagrin (So., Miami, Fla., Sociology) who is eighth in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles (8.10 seconds), garnering WPU 12.00 points.
Torian Kingston (Sr., Queens, N.Y., Sports Management) collected his team 7.63 points for being 12th in the 200-meter dash (21.77 seconds), while Justin Moeller (Jr., Keota, Iowa, Psychology) has given the Statesmen 7.49 points by also being 12th in the long jump (23-2).
Other point-getters are Jasper Stottlemyer (Sr., Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sociology) in the shot put, Showalter Johnson (Fr., Nassau, Bahamas) and Joel Brown (Sr., Columbus, Ga., Engineering Technology) in the 60-meter dash, Jaelen Love (Sr., Crown Point, Ind., Secondary Education) in the 200, and Kingston again in the 400-meter dash.
