WPU Enters Year at #16
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s golf team will again have a proverbial target on its back as the NAIA released its preseason top-25 poll Friday.
William Penn is 16th nationally with 279 points and leads all Heart of America Athletic Conference squads. Mount Mercy is in the receiving votes section, tying for 42nd with four points.
Defending national champion British Columbia is first in the ranking with 525 points and 16 first-place votes. Keiser (Fla.) is second with the last three first-place spots, while SCAD Savannah (Ga.), Dalton State (Ga.), and Oklahoma City round out the top five.
William Penn starts its fall campaign on September 9-10 as it competes in the Bellevue Invitational in Bellevue, Neb.
