WPU Ends Year at Midwest Regional

Baldwin City, Kan.–The Statesmen dance team wrapped up its competition season by battling at the NAIA Midwest Regional Saturday.

WPU opened the day with a preliminary score of 66.40 points and then bettered that mark to 68.03 points for its finals performance. Overall, the navy and gold placed eighth out of nine teams with host Baker winning the crown with 92.17 points.

“This team is very special,” Head Coach Abby Reynolds said. “We made a lot of huge strides this season and they did it together, as one. They pushed each other, encouraged each other, and fought for each other when they performed. This team really sets the tone of what is to come and I am very excited to see what this program can accomplish.”
