Oskaloosa–Elise Warne (Sr., Melbourne, Australia, Exercise Science) is saving her best golf for her final collegiate season, once again earning top honors as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.

Warne won her eighth career award (third of the fall) after guiding the Statesmen to their third tournament title in a row with a dominating performance at the Statesmen Classic. WPU won the event, breaking 18-hole (292) and 36-hole (590) school records.

The senior was first out of 27 players by tying the program’s 18-hole (71) and 36-hole (145) marks. She also broke William Penn’s record for consecutive crowns with her third-straight medalist laurel.

For the year, Warne owns a 74.2 stroke average in six rounds. All six rounds are in the 70s with a low of 71 from last week.

The award is the third for WPU this year.
