Two local bowlers will be competing this summer in the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Games

Randie and Josh

Two local bowlers will be competing this summer in the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Games. Randie Dixon and Josh Mc Danel of Oskaloosa will be travelling to New Orleans in late July for 3 days to compete in the team, doubles, and singles competitions. Dixon earned her spot when she and 4 bowlers from Newton won the girls division AAU State title at the competition in Waterloo. Mc Danel will be bowling with 4 other boys from Newton that placed third in the State finals. The trip will cost about $1000 per bowler so the pair will be doing fundraising to help defray their costs throughout the summer. If you would like to help with their entry and travel expenses please send contributions to Mahaska Bowl and place Junior Olympics in the memo line.
