Stratton Garners Weekly Accolade

Oskaloosa–Chase Stratton (Sr., Clearfield, Utah, Sports Management) sat down batter after batter en route to being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week Monday.

Stratton won his second career laurel (first of 2020) by leading William Penn past Doane last Friday.

In the 13-3 win, Stratton struck out nine batters against two walks in a complete-game effort of seven innings. He permitted three runs (all earned) on six scattered hits in the victory.

For the year, the senior is 2-0 with a 2.12 Earned Run Average. In 17 innings of work (one complete game), Stratton has struck out 19 batters and walked just five, while opponents are hitting .288 against him.

The award is the first of the year for WPU.
