Statesmen of the Week: Landon Krause and Bailee Royal
Oskaloosa–Men’s volleyball player Landon Krause (Jr., Appleton, Wis., Business Management) and women’s lacrosse player Bailee Royal (Sr., Hallsville, Texas, Sports Management) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of February 20-26, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.
Krause, who was also named Heart of America Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week, opened his week with 14 kills on a .600 hitting mark against Clarke last Tuesday. He also managed two aces, five digs, and one block assist versus the Pride. Four days later, Krause tallied 18 kills (.414 attack pct.) with one ace, six digs, and one block assist in a win over #14 Missouri Baptist. Congratulations, Landon!
Royal had a big outing in WPU’s lone game last week, scoring five goals with an assist against Health Sciences and Pharmacy last Sunday. The senior, who made one of her two free position shots, also managed to collect one groundball in the team’s victory.
