Southern Iowa Speedway Winners For July 6th

Southern Iowa Speedway Racing Action July 6th, 2011 as Shane Weller and Kyle Harwood get tangled up in a mess not of their making
Oskaloosa, Iowa – With the thunder that normally shakes Oskaloosa every Wednesday night, four new winners took the checkered flag that night.
The Musco USRA Modifieds had a new winner in Zack Vanderbeek of New Sharon scoring the win, with Oskaloosa’s Ron VerBeek chasing him down. Steven Blatter, also of Oskaloosa, rounded out the top three positions.
USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars saw Oskaloosa’s Cory Stout pull off the win over Polk City’s Steve Jackson and Brian Mitrisin of Oskaloosa. An issue with Rick Gustin’s machine left him sidelined after he lead most of the race.
In USRA Hobby Stocks, Ottumwa’s own Dustin Griffiths outran Kris Walker of Oskaloosa and Calvin Dhondt of Kellogg. Kris Walker now holds the point lead after last nights action.
Oskaloosa’s Cayden Carter couldn’t make it four in a row Wednesday night, as Keswick’s Andrew Schroeder claimed the top spot. LeRoy Groenendyk of Oskaloosa took home the second spot with Cayden Carter climbing his way to third after having to start in the tenth position.
Next Monday and Tuesday, July 11-12, the Southern Iowa Speedway will host the 15th Annual Musco Great American Stock Car Shootout. This will bring the region’s fastest and most talented Modified, Stock Car, B-Mod, and Hobby Stock drivers trekking to the Osky half-mile oval in search of this year’s title and big cash payouts.
Fans and drivers alike will get a complete show each day with a full slate of heat races, last chance qualifiers, and main events in all four classes.
