Southern Iowa Speedway Celebrates Kids Night

Racing action at the Southern Iowa Speedway turned 3 and 4 wide for some furious racing action on Wednesday
Oskaloosa, Iowa – If you were a kid, it was your night at the races. Before the racing action kicked in, kids were piling into stock cars of all kinds for a few laps around the speedway. Pro-Line of New Sharon was the sponsor of Kids Night that featured Musco USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing USRA B-Mods and the USRA Hobby Stock.
Two weeks of rain-outs left racers and fans ready for some dirt slinging action as the USRA Weekly Series kicked it into high gear.
The Hobby Stocks saw Craig Brown take home the trophy from the pole position, with Kris Walker second, and Steven Allen brought home 3rd.
Cayden Carter’s dominance of the B-Modified continued with his third straight victory after starting the feature from the 10th position. Andrew Schroeder finished a respectable second, with Carter VandenBerg coming home in third.
Colt Mather, taking the checker, won in Modifieds with current points leader Dickey settling for second, after having started from the pole. Zack Vanderbeek brought his machine home in the third position to round out the USRA Modifieds.
USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars saw lots of door-to-door three and four wide racing Wednesday night. Kyle Harwood wheeled his way to victory lane for the first time. Nathan Wood found himself in second while, the Track Promoter and Rookie driver, Todd Staley took third, rounding out the top three positions.
Join the fun next Wednesday night at the Southern Iowa Speedway as the dirt slingers once again fight it out for that top spot.
