Oskaloosa High School held its Annual Classic Tournament with 17 teams in the competition on Saturday June 4th while Mahaska County Youth Soccer League played in a 35 team end-of-the season tournament across the street. The weather threatened rain but held off for a day of first-rate competition. Over 500 players and over 2200 spectators were in attendance for the one-day events.

“The weather cooperated, the community came out to watch, the kids played their best and had fun. I would say it was an outstanding day at the complex!” stated Sherry Vavra, MCRF Executive Director.

The Lacey Recreation Complex is growing each year and continues to be a high point for youth recreation in the Oskaloosa community.
