Record-Breaking Campaigns Ends with #2 National Ranking
Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s soccer team ended its best season in school history with its highest ranking ever as the NAIA released its postseason top-25 poll Wednesday.
WPU (20-3-3) concluded the 2024 campaign at #2 with 377 points. Not only is it the highest position for the navy and gold in their history, it also marks the 18th poll in a row in which the they are ranked in the top 25.
The Statesmen are one of five Heart of America Athletic Conference programs in the postseason rating; all five squads are in the top 25. MidAmerica Nazarene is #8, while Missouri Valley is #9, Baker is #15, and Clarke is #23.
National champion Dalton State (Ga.) is #1 with 390 points and all 15 first-place votes, while William Carey (Miss.), Cumberlands (Ky.), and Oklahoma Wesleyan round out the nation’s top five.
