Question of the week: Who do you support most in the recent health care scuffle between Governor Branstad and Attorney General Tom Miller?

Iowa Capitol

Our question of the week last week was: Do you believe that Iowa’s Supreme Court has done any actions requiring impeachment? You voted with 68% or 39 votes saying No, they did not. Those viewing the actions of the Supreme Court as, yes, having done enough to require impeachment was 30% or 17 votes, and 1 person unsure on the matter. The question of the week poll is unscientific and does not reflect the views of Osky News.

This week our focus turns towards the brewing fight between Iowa’s Attorney General Tom Miller and Iowa’s newly re-elected Governor Terry Branstad. Branstad recently joined the National Federation of Independent Business and the State of Florida along with the 19 original states that now include recently added Iowa, Wyoming, Kansas, Ohio, Maine and Wisconsin in the lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Iowa’s Attorney General Tom Miller then joined with 8 other states that filed a brief in support with the federal government involving a Michigan case that says the healthcare reform act is unconstitutional. Miller stated that he believes the law is constitutional under the commerce clause.

So our question will be: Who do you support, Branstad or Miller in this new fight over healthcare reform?

Now it’s your turn to decide. Vote in our online poll. The poll will be open until next Sunday at 9 pm when we will close the poll and release the final voting numbers. If you have any questions please contact us at info@oskynews.org
