Practice Helps Make Perfect

Continuing to practice, the Oskaloosa Mayhem Girls prepare for upcoming bouts

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Mayhem Girls have been tearing up the track lately, boasting a 4 and 1 record.

The team has recently added four new players, and they can look forward to not warming a bench.

Lisa Alderson said the team will be playing its next bout on the 16th in Waterloo, with their next home bout being on July 14th. “We’re practicing hard because we have so many new people,” Alderson says pointing out the 4 new players, with 3 of them never having been in a bout yet.

“We plan on letting them get a lot of play time,” because that’s the best way to build experience Alderson says. “I have a feeling they are going to do phenomenal.”

Alderson says that looking forward, one of their toughest bouts will be in August and September when they will be taking on Quad Cities in Davenport, saying that “they are a real experienced team.”

In October, the team will be facing another team from Wisconsin. This will be the first time these two teams will meet.
