Patricia Ann Wolf, 82, of Ottumwa and formerly of Martinsburg, passed away at Vista Woods Care Center on June 6, 2020. She was born on September 20, 1937, the oldest daughter of Robert and Rosemary (Johnson) Cronk, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Patti graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines with the class of 1955. Following graduation, she went to work as a bookkeeper for various automobile dealerships in Iowa. She had a way with numbers, and she continued to work in the financial field until her retirement.
On September 3, 1959, she was united in marriage to Jerry Poe. It was during her years with Jerry that Patti developed a lifelong passion for traveling. During their marriage, the couple lived in various states including, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. On October 21, 1980, Jerry passed away.
On April 21, 1982, Patti was united in marriage to Dale Wolf. The two of them also enjoyed traveling. They also moved to various states including Colorado and Missouri. On November 5, 2001 Dale preceded Patti in death.
Following, Dale’s death, Patti returned to Iowa and moved to Martinsburg to be near her family. Once back in Martinsburg she was an in-home care provider for Lena Wyllie until she passed away.
Patti attended the First Pentecostal Church in Ottumwa. In addition to traveling, she enjoyed camping, hunting, and sewing.
Patti is survived by her two sisters, Roberta Fairchild and Connie Phillips both of Martinsburg; nine nieces and nephews: Kimberly, Robert, Cindy, Sherrie, Shelley, Jacque, Rodney, Scott, and Todd; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and by many of the staff at Vista Woods that she considered family.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands; her parents; a sister, Margaret Six; three brothers in law: Wesley Six, Jack Fairchild, and Richard Phillips, Sr.; a nephew, Richard Phillips, Jr.; and a niece, Terri Fairchild.
A Celebration of Life for Patti will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Pentecostal Church in Ottumwa, Iowa, with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating.
As was Patti’s wish, her body has been cremated.
Burial of her urn will be in the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
No visitation is planned.
