Special Session of the Oskaloosa School Board, June 3, 2013

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa School Board held a special session on Monday to approve the agreement with the OEA. This agreement, if approved by the teachers, would be the contract for wages and benefits.

During Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the teachers union will go out to their membership to seek ratification of the agreement. If they approve of the contract, the amendments and revisions will then be made the master contract.

Also approved was to consider an approval on a request for proposal to seek wireless internet coverage for the three buildings of the Oskaloosa School District. The service would mirror what had been done at the high school two years ago.

The motion passed.

The board is scheduled to meet in regular session on June 11th at 7pm in the Administration Board Room of George Daily Auditorium.
