Oskaloosa Lions Club With Fremont Lions Club To Hold KidSight At Kidtoberfest
Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Lions Club, with the assistance of the Fremont Lions Club, will be holding a KidSight eye screening for preschool children during the Kidtoberfest celebration at Penn Central Mall Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free screening is designed to detect vision problems in children’s eyes before they reach school age. A parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver for this free screening. KidSight is a joint project between the Lions Clubs of Iowa and the University of Iowa Department of Opthamology and Visual Sciences.
Oskaloosa Lions Club is selling Harper brooms and brushes to raise money to help fund service their service projects. Oskaloosa Lions Clubs service projects include conducting free KidSight eye screenings for preschool children, helping the needy pay for eyeglasses and hearing aids, sending diabetic children to summer camp, among many other community projects.
